In several locations at the Heritage Centre you will find an eclectic mix of vintage wireless sets, record players and tape recorders.

Waveney Wireless was started with a bequest from local broadcaster and character Stewart Orr and we are in the process of creating a timeline display of Radio and recording equipment of the twentieth Century. Our aim is to have as many exhibits as possible restored back to their original working condition to allow all our visitors to enjoy the experience the sights and sounds of the past that our predecessors used to enjoy.

Also, with the equipment we have from BBC Radio Norfolk we are presently making an installation type display, the idea being to display the many items that Stewart acquired during his lengthy employment with BBC Radio Norfolk.

Waveney Wireless is currently open on the last Sunday of each month from 10:30 till 3pm and by appointment at other times.
